Blog changes

Thanks to everyone who followed Training Because I Can! over the last nine years. This blog started with Addison's Disease, hypothyroidism and a crazy idea of doing an Ironman distance triathlon. My life has changed and so has this blog. I am using this blog strictly for Addison's Support topics from here on out. I hope to continue providing people with hints for living life well with adrenal insufficiency.

Calling all Front Range Colorado Addisonians!

Sunday we're headed off to Colorado Springs, Colorado to visit with my family. Zane and I will be in Boulder on Wednesday to tour the University of Colorado campus and we'll hit Pearl Street for lunch. Any Boulder area Addisonian's want to meet up for lunch? If so, contact me at contact@addisonssupport.com. Thursday I might do a 5K Turkey Trot with a fellow Addisonian and marathoner, Linda A. Friday I will be meeting Wanda from Oregon face to face for the very first time! Wanda is one of the first Addisonian people I've ever met. I'm very excited and will get lots of pictures. Friday afternoon I'm going to meet up with Linda A and hang out. Once again, it will be a busy "vacation"!

Any Addisonians in the Colorado Springs/Denver area want to get together? Email me!

Week in review

The pictures are totally out of order. Sorry. I'm having a little trouble learning to use my new computer.

I'm very busy. Festval of Trees is looming in the near future (December 6th, 2008). The FOT benefits our local hospital.

I'm training for Rocky Raccoon and haven't decided on which distance I will do. Rocky Raccoon is in Texas in the beginning of February. I've purchased my plane tickets so I've got to keep on the training.

We're all headed off to Colorado Springs on Sunday to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. The dog got a spot at the local kennel. Thank goodness!

My new friend Kira. We were on Mill Creek Trail yesterday. Today we'll go up Pole Canyon with Joanne.

Donna (center) was visiting from NJ, we all went out to dinner. Donna and I have been friends since High School!

Donna and I were both wearing fancy shoes. Me left, her right.

Farmers go to a lot of trouble to get their message out. In the past, he used to mow "Teton" into the hillside when there was a big sporting event.

It was weird animal week. A peacock that was crossing the road.

On my long run on Saturday, I looked over at someone's front yard and they had several white buffalo (pictured above), a regular buffalo, an elk and a goat (below)

Elk and goat penned in the same front yard.
